  • Our production courses are taught exclusively using Ableton Live 12.

    Our DJ course is taught using rekordbox by Pioneer DJ.

  • Courses are 3 months long and include 10 consecutive weekly classes, unlimited studio time, monthly private lessons, weekly events and workshops, and access to our community platform, Circle.

    Artist Programs are Curated sequences of 2 or more courses. By enrolling in a program, you'll benefit from a comprehensive learning experience at a reduced per-course cost.

  • We recommend most students begin with Building Blocks or Music Production or Spin Class for DJing.

  • Our prices are listed on our individual course and program pages.

  • No, we are unable to assist with student visas.

    We welcome students over the age of 18 who have legal status in the United States. This includes individuals who have already obtained a visa, are on a tourist visa, or have another form of legal entry.

    If you’re unsure about your eligibility, we recommend checking with an immigration professional to confirm your status.

  • Yes, students enrolling in a new course or program must pay a non-refundable registration fee of $250.

  • Yes! IO Music Academy students are eligible for educational pricing on most music production software. Students can save 40% on Ableton and up to 50% on partner brands such as Arturia, FabFilter, Sonarworks, Soundtoys, Mixed In Key, Native Instruments, and more.

  • Yes! Enrolled students can use our studios as often as they like at no additional charge. All we ask is that students schedule one session at a time.

  • Every class is recorded and uploaded to Circle the following day.
